November weather

The winter chill is expected to set in November.

Snow could fall.

But so far it is mild, damp and cloudy.

Luckily with spells of sunshine!

Had a nice chat with a friend

over a cup of coffee.

Girls night out

Had so much fun on Saturday night!

I went to a pub with the girls for a drink.

Haven't been in a pub for ages!

I should do it more often)))

Bonfire night

I love simple food!

Bonfire food is so satisfying))

Hot soups, bangers, baked potatoes...So yummy!

Today we had bangers in sweet chili sauce, twice baked potatoes with cheese and beetroot salad.

Pork fillet in cream sauce

1 pork fillet, cut into medallions

3 spring onions chopped

50-70 ml white wine

150 ml double cream

salt, pepper

Season medallions on both sides. Place in pan with olive oil and brown until golden. Remove from pan and set aside.

Add more oil if needed and onion. Saute until onion is soft.

Add white wine and salt and pepper. Cook til wine is half reduced.

Add cream and bring to a boil.

Add meat back to pan and simmer for 3-5 minutes.

November greeted us with... November weather) It's so much colder. And darker. Well it should be, shouldn't it. 

What can we do in November to cheer you up? 

Meeting friends for coffee? Early Christmas shopping? It is not nice to travel in November except going abroad to get some sunshine of course.
