Russian style Crab Sticks and Prawn Salad

This salad is very popular in Russia
although originally it was invented in early 20th century in America.
The ingredients are very simple: eggs, crab sticks, spring onions,
cucumber, sweet corn, mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
This time i felt adventurous, so i decided to add some prawns))
And it came out even better!

Roasted cauliflower

I love this method of  preparing cauliflower
and will never go back to boiling!
My absolutely favorite!

Toss  the cauliflower with olive oil, salt and pepper
and roast until golden and tender for about 20-30 minutes,
stirring occasionally.

Nonsuch Park, Cheam

Beautiful November day in Nonsuch park!
After gloomy, wet Saturday it clears up and the sun shines)

All-in-One Brekkie

I saw a recipe on the internet for all-in-one breakfast.
Sausages, tomatoes, beans, eggs...
Everything I love in one pan and barely any of the washing up!
I like the idea!

Preheat oven to 200°C. Arrange the sausages in a roasting pan.
Drizzle over oil. Bake in oven for 10 minutes.
Add a tin of chopped tomatoes and a tin of  baked beans and bake for a further 10 minutes.
Crack 1 egg per person and bake for 4-5 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your liking.

Epsom

On the train to Epsom.

On Sunday we decided to go to Epsom.
No reason. I just had never been there before.
Nice town-even on a gloomy November day)

Wednesday 11 November 2015

I like adding a spoonful of something to my granola yogurt
to grab extra nutrients and vitamins.
Pomegranates are one of the few!
Fruit and nuts transform simple breakfast into a dessert!
Just delicious!

Really local honey!

Is your local honey really local?
Mine is!
My friend gave me a jar of honey,
a jar of natural lip balm
and some candles made of beeswax as a gift)
Apparently beeswax can clean air and reduce allergy!
It;s a small family business that produce bees honey and bee products.
They keep bees on their allotment!
I didn't know it was possible)

But I know what we are having for breakfast tomorrow!
Belgian waffles and honey)))

Tuesday 3 November 2015

Today is my day off, so
I'll take the opportunity to do some shopping,
cook a nice meal and catch up with a friend...
