Wholemeal bread pudding


300g wholemeal bread
400ml milk
1 egg
75g melted butter
100g sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg

Tear the bread into 1-2in pieces. Pour the milk and leave to soak for about 5-10 minutes.
Add the egg, butter, sugar, spices. Mix well.
Transfer into a buttered dish. Sprinkle the top with 1Tbsp sugar and bake for about 35-40 minutes, oven 160-180*C.
