Quick Lamb Pilaf

3 cups cooked rice (when cooking your rice it is nice to add a couple of cardamom pods and a star anise to it)
1 onion chopped
1 carrot chopped or coarsely grated
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground turmeric
1/2 tsp chili flakes
200g diced lamb
1/2 cup water

Fry carrots, onions and spices then add the lamb, followed by water. Cook 10-15 minutes or until the lamb is cooked through. Add the rice and mix well.
Serves 3.
